Pescara, 27th October 2011 – Adventure Productions and 10th Art Studio proudly announce their latest PC episodic adventure game, Shadows on The Vatican. A blood-red sky surrounds the city of Rome in a surreal, neverending twilight. Under the shadow of St. Peter, an American ex-priest investigates a series of events that exposes a deeper, more complex web of political and religious intrigue than he ever could have imagined.

Visiting Rome from Chicago, where he works as a doctor, ex-priest James Murphy answers a mysterious call for help from his friend Cristoforo.
The disappearance of a briefcase containing compromising documents is enough to convince James that his friend is a victim of something shady and sinister. The Vatican’s involvement and some strange parallels with his own traumatic past inspire James to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Along this dangerous and disturbing path, James finds the most unlikely travelling companion who will question his deepest beliefs. And so the two characters begin both a physical journey in search of the truth, and a metaphysical exploration of the inner soul and the darkest secrets that everyone hides, even a “champion of the faith” like James.
Rome is the stage for this adventure – a city bathed in eternal twilight, its skies tinted the color of blood spilled in more than thirty years of intrigue: blood of innocents and guilty, unknown and famous victims alike.

Introducing the main character:
James Murphy is an ex-priest who decided to become a doctor after he cut all ties with the Catholic Church. 38 years old, handsome and with a slim build, James is as friendly as he is shy about any personal questions.
He can express himself forcefully against the religious institutions, but his faith, his sense of justice and his deepest respect for all people and life in general have never been in doubt. He’s the head physician at a hospital in Chicago, where he now resides, but he can fluently speak Italian thanks to the many years he lived in Rome.

To unravel the mystery and protect the young Sir Henry, the youngest scion of the dynasty and the last living member of the family, who arrived in England to take possession of property of the unfortunate uncle just passed away, asked the help of Sherlock Holmes, who, rejecting the idea of ​​a curse and attracted by the uniqueness of the story, agrees to take up the case before it completes a new murder. Will you accompany the detective and his trusty assistant Watson in the manor of the Baskervilles, to investigate what is really happening and discover what lies behind the mysterious murders.

Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles offers players dozens of areas to explore in search of hidden clues and solve various puzzles to get to the solution of the case, which is based on an adventure in an unusual way and revisits the most famous novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: thanks to a mysterious amulet, in fact, Sherlock will move in time to explore the bloody scenes in which he acted the show.

Sherlock Holmes: The Hound of the Baskervilles will be available in mid-March in a special edition that includes numerous bonus: the backgrounds of the game, the soundtrack unreleased, new exploration environment and a whole additional section, which, once completed, will unlock the full novel in English.
